Package 1: Feedback on a manuscript
– One round of thorough review of a mature draft of a manuscript
– Feedback on the structure of the manuscript, analysis methods, presentation of results, and interpretation
– Non-exhaustive language editing
– One-time 30 min online consultation to discuss the major feedback
Package 2: Preparation of a manuscript: full process until first submission
– Preliminary review of an early draft manuscript and/or list of key outcomes
– Extensive feedback on the approach, methods, interpretation, and structure of the
manuscript
– Thorough review of up to three versions of the manuscript per submission
– Necessary online consultations to discuss the feedback
– Language editing of the final version
– Advise on selecting the journal and preparing the submission
Package 3: Full service from draft to publication
All services listed under Package 2 and:
– If the manuscript is invited to be resubmitted after revision:
o Assistance in the revision of the manuscript including guidance on how to respond to the reviewers’ feedback, how to revise the analysis and/or manuscript
o Necessary online consultations to discuss the feedback
– If the manuscript is rejected by the journal:
o Online consultation to discuss the next steps (submission to another journal)
o If desired, assistance in revising the manuscript before the next submission
– Unlimited number of revisions included during a period of maximum of two years unless otherwise agreed
(USD 2500 base fee + USD 500 after acceptance)
Please, note:
– Before sending the manuscript, please use a suitable checklist (STROBE for observational studies, CONSORT for randomized trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews – please check out this website for a full list of checklists for different study types) to check that all information is adequately reported in the manuscript. If possible, please send the filled checklist together with the manuscript.
– Note that although we will continue to provide assistance until the manuscript is accepted (for up to two years), this service package will not give a guarantee for acceptance of the manuscript in any journal.
