From 15 to 18 September, Dr. Janne Estill participated in the Guidelines International Network (GIN) 2026 Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of the delegation from Lanzhou University.
A key part of the programme was a workshop on RIGHT 2.0, the planned update of the RIGHT reporting guideline for clinical practice guidelines. Janne co-led the workshop as Co-Chair of the RIGHT Working Group, together with colleagues from the group.
The session presented the structure and work of the RIGHT Working Group, the rationale and current plans for updating the guideline, progress made so far, and the next steps for RIGHT 2.0.
An important part of the workshop was the discussion with international colleagues working in guideline science and evidence-based medicine. Their comments and suggestions will help inform the continued development and refinement of the updated reporting guideline.
Janne also delivered two oral presentations during the conference.
The RIGHT Statement was developed to improve the reporting of clinical practice guidelines, supporting clearer and more complete reporting of how guidelines are developed and presented. The ongoing work on RIGHT 2.0 reflects the continuing development of guideline science and the growing emphasis on transparency in evidence-based healthcare.
